For support, training, consulting, software demo and software sales of this product, contact us AutoVue is a versatile application that provides flexible, efficient, and secure functions to view, print, and comment on native documents. Organizations can standardize the entire document and design review operations on a single solution. This saves significant time and cost, and improves efficiency and productivity. AutoVue supports several file formats, including 2D/3D Computer Aided Design (CAD), Electronic Design Automation (EDA), image, and Office. This enables users within and beyond an organization to instantly and reliably view, mark up, and collaborate on documents, without requiring the original authoring application, and without altering the original document’s integrity. AutoVue provides organizations that have moved to 3D or shifted into supporting 3D CAD software alongside 2D CAD systems, with the most comprehensive collaborative visualization solution for Catia, Pro/ENGINEER, Unigraphics, SolidWorks, SolidEdge, and many other mid-range or high-end 3D CAD formats. The 3D models can be manipulated in a simple and efficient manner using features, such as the “3D Explode” view, the 3D entity search, or the various measurements and mass properties calculation tools.
Desktop Edition: It has its own simple scripting language which can be used from a script file loaded on startup or via OLE Automation from a variety of programming languages Web Edition: It provides VueBean Java APIs to extend the client side capabilities. For example, set and control documents, create batch printing tools or analyze complex CAD designs. It can be accessed via JavaScript in an HTML page as well. Core: This layer relies on the VCET Library that allows developers to build custom interfaces in the programming language of their choice leveraging the AutoVue’s format decoding technology. Decoder: This layer consists of several decoders that read and interprets the native documents to stream the viewing information back to the render engine (VCET). AutoVue Web Edition is based on a multitiered client/server architecture. The AutoVue Server side consists of one or more AutoVue Servers ready to process rendering requests from clients. The AutoVue client side can be implemented as a Java Applet (in a Web page) or as a stand-alone Java application. Each client sends file requests to the AutoVue Server, which in turn processes the requested files and streams only the necessary information back to the client. Clients can connect to the AutoVue Server either via direct socket connection or servlet tunneling. In servlet tunneling, a servlet named “VueServlet” is provided with the AutoVue Server to tunnel clients through the HTTP(S) protocol in the necessary cases (that is, cases where direct socket connection would be blocked). This servlet must be hosted by a servlet engine. By default, the servlet is set up on the “Jetty” servlet engine that is shipped with AutoVue Web Edition, but can easily be set up on any other servlet engine or application server such as Tomcat, WebLogic, WAS, and so on. When servlet tunneling is used, the AutoVue client communicates with VueServlet over HTTP(S) requests, whereas VueServlet and AutoVue Server communicate over direct socket connections (which can also be secured with SSL if necessary). |
